This is a handy little chair and it has a place in some camping situations. I can see the benefits if you're strictly backpacking/hiking and using trekking poles anyway, it saves on space and weight. I will point out that the seat feet tend to sink into loose soil, and on even slightly uneven terrain, you may consider sitting very gently to ensure you don't flip the seat backwards and fall into your brand new tent, snapping the plastic bracket where the tentpole inserts at the top, making your tent lop-sided and nearly unusable in windy conditions. But obviously that wouldn't happen to anyone who knew what they were doing.

So bottom line: a light-weight solution for weight/space restricted travel that would use trekking poles anyway, but don't give it to your 56-year-old-uncle to use on unstable terrain.

Lite, ease to assemble,sturdy,Exellent carbon hiking sticks, afordable price. It was Birthday present for friend of mine. I wil by for myself if price stay same. Highly recommended for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

So this chair, I have 2 now, is almost perfect. 1000 ti.es better than. Sitting on the ground, but it needs new feet on the end of the poles that got on the ground. I'm not a big guy, but the future all sink into the ground which makes you sit too low. My cheap $24 walmart lightweight chair has the feet with a round disc like trekking poles have that prevent it from sinking into the ground. If these were on the chair it would be a 5 / 5 for sure. Hope they add these and send me two sets. It would be well worth it to even buy a cheap chair and change them out!

such a cool design. I was initially worried about the durability of it, but the chair lasted through my most recent backpacking trip. Hopefully many more to come! The best thing I could say is that I fell asleep in the chair! how awesome is that? I fell asleep in a backpacking chair it was that comfortable! My only gripe I guess is if it could be a little lighter. I know some of the competitors have the entire chair at about 1 lb (granted no head rest), so you would think if a chair is missing a couple of legs because they are trekking poles that you are already bringing, then it could at least match the weight as some of the others, but regardless, for the price and quality thus far I am satisfied. I would rather it be bombproof and weigh a few ounces more than try and shave weight at the expense of durability. Looking forward to see what a V3 can bring to the table. Also, the tough part is that if you are a trekking pole tent user like I am, you have to consider logistics of having additional poles if you are keeping your tent up and using the chair.
