I was a outdoor educator for 10 plus years back in the 90's and am amazed at how advanced the new equipment has come. The chair is so comfortable. The treking poles are the nicest poles I have ever used. For the minimal weight I do not think I would go on a backpacking trip without this great chair.
This chair is by far the coolest, most convenient and lightest camping chair I’ve ever had
The fact that the hiking poles turned into a high back chair is just awesome bonus and it’s very easy to set up super reliable and sturdy

We haven’t use them on a hike yet but set them up in our bedroom to test out. We sat in them for about 30 mins and just relaxed in them. They were that comfortable. We’re looking forward to using them out in the wild!
I know many people comment about the weight but being selective about what you pack is key to us. I don’t see the weight as an issue. Our use will be for day hikes and not backpacking.
Disappointed, The chair alone, without my hiking poles, weighs more, and takes more space than my backpacking chair that does not require my poles. The combination of my zfold carbon poles and my old chair weigh less and are less bulky than Trekchair alone - and cheaper. TrekChair may work for heavier people but not for me, no advantage.

When I ordered this chair I thought it might be a scam. But a week later I received the chair. That weekend I hiked on the Appalachian trail for 3 days. I’m 65 so a nice place to sit has become crucial. Weighing only a little over a pound, poles don’t count because I’m using them, it was easy to lose a pound of gear and add the chair. All I did all weekend was reap the rewards of having that chair. Around the fire, under a tarp because it rained a little or sitting on a rock ledge having lunch, I was the envy of my buddies. The poles are light but very sturdy. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars, well worth it. I think all my hiking buddies ordered one the following week!
We just got our new portable hiking chairs that utilize our hiking poles for a significant part of their structure. We set them up in our living room immediately upon opening them! Love them! Light weight. Comfortable. Perfect design. Will try them this week with a hike and picnic lunch. Thanks for building them! Great idea!
