Once you remove the chair frame from its carry bag, allow each of these self-erecting legs to pop into place.
Step 2
Insert the trekking pole handles into the rear seatback pockets.
Step 3
Then insert trekking pole tips into the rear hub.
Step 4
Attach the front of the seat to the front stay bars.
Step 5
Adjust trekking poles to the desired length. Shorter for a more reclined position. Longer to sit more upright.
Tip #1
Adjust the length of the trekking poles using the upper flip lock on the handle section. Once you've found your desired height, ensure the locking mechanism is tightly closed.
Tip #2
Ensure tips are fully inserted into the rear hub. Remove the mud baskets if attached.
Tip #3
Extend the flip lock 1 inch above the "GOG CARBON" insignia for the most reclined seating position. Or extend the poles as far as they will go to sit more upright.

- How do I use the chair if I use the trekking poles for my trekking pole tent?
If not using a freestanding tent, it depends on your setup. With many trekking pole tents, you can set it up as you normally would with all your sleeping gear inside. You can then remove the poles letting everything lie flat while using the chair to make dinner, chat, and relax. With all the guy lines already in place, it's typically quick and easy to pop the poles back in place when you’re ready for bed.
- Can I use my own poles?
TrekChair is available as a chair-only option or a full system. The full system includes Goat Stix carbon fiber poles; chair-only requires compatible poles that you supply.
TrekChair works with many three-piece carbon fiber telescoping poles. Aluminum poles, poles with flexible or shock-absorbing tips, poles with angled grips and folding Z-style poles are not recommended or compatible.
